Life Is Short - So DOODLE!

I've been an entrepreneur on and off all my life. I have owned businesses ranging from a personal assistant service, to flute and math tutor, to proofreading and editing service, to network marketing, to Uber and Lyft driver, to small business consultant, to handmade jewelry, to graphic designer of adult coloring books (when I first opened my Etsy store in 2015). I am also an Amazon international top-selling author of books on how to start and build an online business.

The business I had the longest was my website design and Internet marketing business, which I began with my late husband and operated from 1993 to 2019, when I closed the business and retired. I loved creating websites! We worked with several Fortune 500 companies, such as Dell, IBM, 3M, The University of Texas in Austin, the Children’s Book Council in New York City, as well as hundreds of small businesses.

I loved bringing my customers' visions to life through websites! I enjoyed the challenge of creating that unique and perfect “look” for each customer's business. Many of our customers became close friends, and we stay in touch to this day. From 1997 to 2004, our company was ranked in the top 10 website design companies for Austin and Central Texas. In 2004, I moved away from Austin.

After I retired, I spent 2019 and 2020 searching for an online business that I could operate from anywhere in the world (as I love to travel!). After much research and careful analysis, in early 2021 I decided to expand my Etsy store from just adult coloring books to offer a wide range of products – and it continues to grow!

Being a website designer, I taught myself HTML, PHP, Photoshop, InDesign – including graphic design and video editing. So it has been an easy transition from website design to product design!

When I started to offer more products, I began by selling mugs. Then expanded into other drinkware. Next, I am expanding my offerings into even more products, such as jewelry, shirts, and much more!

I love selling my products on Etsy because it supports small businesses and allows me to continue to express my creativity and give my customers something unique. I get great joy in creating custom designs for my customers! And I love that many of my pre-designed items are purchased and enjoyed by many!

HOW I CAME UP WITH MY SHOP NAME
I have doodled since I could hold a pencil (or was it a crayon?). I always keep a sketchpad handy and am constantly jotting down phrase ideas and images rough drafts. Since my nickname is Kip and I love to doodle, well, it just seemed natural to put them together.

ALMOST ALL of my products can be personalized with your name, any phrase you like, or your own photo. I love being here in Etsy with you, and I strive to make your Etsy shopping experience a memorable one.
